Here are ten cities in Europe where you can get a dip in the sea:
Athens, Greece: A half hour outside the city center district of Glyfada with beautiful beaches. Are you going to Piraeus, you can take a boat to one of the many islands.
Lisbon, Portugal: Just west of the city are some of Portugal’s best beaches at the coastal towns of Estoril and Cascais.
Nice, France: The beautiful beach is located in the city, few steps from the Promenade des Anglais.
Split, Croatia: Enjoy the famous Bacvice beach or take a catamaran to the islands.
Venice, Italy: Just outside the canal town is the Lido beaches. Lido de Venezia is 12 km long and the longest of numerous beaches.
Valencia, Spain: the little brother to Barcelona have fantastic beaches, city beach of Playa de Malvarossa.
Marseille, France: France’s largest port city has 50 beaches to offer.
Brighton, England: Known as “London’s seaside resort, and is also known for its beaches. Most popular is the beach between the piers Brighton Pier and West Pier.
Copenhagen and Aarhus, Denmark: Copenhagen has Amager Beach Park, Bellevue and Charlottenlund for bathing nymphs, and a little further out is Tisvilde and Brondby Strand. Aarhus has also Ajstrup, Bellevue Beach Park and Moesgaard Strand.
